Miramax's "No Country for Old Men" helps push Blu-ray discs to the nine million sold mark
To me its really not that much of a achievement for Sony's Blu-ray, considering they have no competition anymore since the dismissal of Toshiba's HD-DVD format.
There has been only 6 million Blu-ray Disc movies sold since the format’s introduction in 2007. Miramax's "No Country for Old Men" helped push the sales of Blu-ray discs to the nine million mark last week. The only thing I can say is, Blu-ray is on the right track, just not that fastest track.
Adoption of the new high definition format has been and will remain slow until prices come down.
