Netflix finally comes to Android, but not for all phones due to standardization issues

Netflix is finally available for Android, but unfortunately, not all devices will support the video streaming service.

Google announced last week that Netflix has arrived for Android devices. But because of lack of standardization of video streaming features on devices, Netflix is only available on HTC Incredible, Nexus One, EVO 4G, G2 and Samsung Nexus S phones.

Netflix's Roma De detailed that due to the lack of standardization, Netflix had to test each brand for compatibility, and that "many of these technical challenges will be resolved in the coming months" to allow the app to work on other devices too.

If you do have a phone that supports Netflix, you can download the free app from Google Market, and get a 30 day free trial to test out the service.
