Toshiba Delays the First HD-DVD Recorder

They claim its because of a shortage of parts
The RD-A1 was supposed to be released today, but Toshiba said that it will now not happen until the end of the month at the earliest.

Toshiba's HD-RA1 HD-DVD Recorder

Apparently there is a shortage of some parts for the gear, although the outfit is not saying what the missing parts are.

The delay is a bit of a set back for Toshiba which was hoping to have the world's first recordable second generation DVD player. More...
