The PS3 sales doubled after price cut and launch of cheaper low end model
For several months now the PS3 has been laggin behind in sales due to the popular XBOX 360 and ever so popular Nintendo Wii. Since Sony has just reduced the price of the 80GB model and debuted a cheaper lower end 40GB model, thier sales have doubled.
Sony said it flogged 75,000 PS3 consoles in the week of October 29 in the United States, and more than 100,000 in the following week, compared with average weekly sales of 30,000 to 40,000 before.
