Toshiba invents a new internet enabled DVD player that should become available later this year

Since Toshiba dropped out of next generation DVD race against Sony's Blu-ray, many speculated they would jump on board with Blu-ray.

However, they have done the exact opposite with trying to improve the image up-scaling capabilities.

It also appears that Toshiba is not only going for visual quality comparisons yet internet connectivity aspect as well.
