A price reduction for the PS3 has long been a request by consumers, yet notably ignored by Sony. One analyst seems to think Sony just may do it this time though.
He claims that Sony would indeed lower the price of an 80GB PS3 by $100 to improve overall sales. This would be a smart move, especially given our economic status.
One question though, how much more of the production cost is Sony willing to eat on each PS3 sold?
