OnLive will be launching a On-Demand gaming service later this year that would bring you subscription type games without the need for a XBOX or PlayStation.

OnLive will allow gamers to choose games stored on their servers, acting like virtual consoles, so that you can play and enjoy the games on your HDTV.

“There’s no physical media, it’s all-digital so you never need to upgrade your equipment at home.”

There’s no word on the cost for monthly subscription or the micro-console box yet, nor a release date, but I would say sometime later this year.
