The people at Momitsu are bringing you the first Blu-ray player to ship without region coding, allowing playback of Blu-ray and DVD discs bought anywhere in the world.

The Momitsu BDP-899 is a 2.0 player, upscales standard definition movies to 1080p, auto-converts between PAL and NTSC, supports BD-Live, HDMI Deep Color and has picture-in-picture functionality.

It is still not clear if the player actually comes region free or if you have to enter in a special code via the remote to unlock the capability.
