Recent rumors have surfaced that Circuit City has sold their brand name to Systemax for an alleged $6.5 million

Circuit City and Systemax have a “stalking horse agreement,” which is a offer for a bankrupt company’s assets, for $6.5 million.

Systemax has already purchased CompUSA when it went bankrupt and later relaunched the brand under the TigerDirect and CompUSA name.
