Sony has announced that they will release a updated firmware (version 2.76) for their PlayStation 3 console very soon that improves

Sony has announced that they will release a updated firmware (version 2.76) for their PlayStation 3 console very soon that improves playback quality and other minor enhancements.

There was nothing else revealed about this firmware update unfortunately.
