3D Firmware Update for PS3

Sony promises that the next PS3 firmware update will bring 3D support to PS3 games to customers who have a 3D TV

Fortunately the PS3 will support any 3D TV so you won’t need Sony’s "expensive" 3D Bravia HDTV that they’re currently working on.

Besides the TV and the console, the PS3 graphics will also need active shutter glasses to decipher the stereoscopic images on the screen.

Later this year, a separate update will come to bring 3D game support.
