Steam, owned by the Valve Corporation, has just had major reconstructive surgery bringing hundreds of needed changes to the user interface, performance, and functionality of the digital distribution service.
The company is allowing newcomers access to the changes in the “opt-in beta” program and said that the beta version of the games will be instantly accessible to anybody who owns a Steam account.
Most of the changes by the Steam development group spawned from customer feedback on the interface, performance, and functionality of the game.
