LG has launched what it says is the first fully LED-backlit 3D TV sporting a contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1 and improved 3D effects through new brightness technology.
The sets will come in 47" and 55" versions that each are very thin (little over 3/4 of an inch) and have very narrow bezels for almost a borderless image. The active shutter glasses will charge over a USB connection and provide about 40 hours of viewing before they need recharging.
No other details were provided except shipping dates. The sets will first debut in Korea and come to the US around May at a "rumored" price of $4,300 for the 47".
