Sony plans on sending out a firmware update in September that will add Blu-ray 3D movie playback, support for 3D photos (.mpo files), and even 3D YouTube videos.
If you already have a PlayStation 3 and a 3DTV, you simply connect the two with your HDMI cable and your PlayStation 3 will automatically recognize that you've got a 3D display attached.
The PS3 will support 3D photos, since there are 3D cameras already on the market now and 3D camcorders will be coming soon.
