Microsoft has finally removed the cover and spilled the beans about how closely integrated the OS is with the XBOX Live service and a selection of games it will debut with.
About 60 games will launch with the innovative smartphone ranging from Halo: Waypoint to Guitar Hero and just like its older sibling, new games will appear every week in the XBOX Live Marketplace.
There will be a Spotlight section, with your Xbox Live avatar showcasing all of of your achievements to anyone with a multi-player connected device, such as cellphones or PCs.
"This hub delivers the first and only official Xbox LIVE experience on a phone, including Xbox LIVE games, Spotlight feed and the ability to see a gamer's avatar, Achievements and gamer profile and with more than 23 million active members around the world, Xbox LIVE unlocks a world of friends, games and entertainment on Xbox 360, and now also on Windows Phone 7 Series."
On a positive note, every game will have a try-before-you buy demo to check out before spending your hard-earned cash.
I foresee this device doing really well at first but not being able to hold its ground very long due to smarter more powerful devices coming from makers like HTC and Apple.
Only time will tell though...
