The week ending 15th January 2010 was the week The Social Network was released, but unfortunately, this semi-big release was not enough to overcome the otherwise lacklustre release week, and both Blu-ray and DVD revenue fell compared to the previous week.
Piranha 3D (both the 2D and 3D Blu-ray versions) was the other notable new release in the Blu-ray top 10, coming in at 4th, having been outsold by The Social Network by nearly a 5 to 1 margin.
