The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 2nd April 2011 has just been posted (delayed slightly due to lack of access to stats). Tangled dominated the charts, while there were still room for 5 more new releases in the top 10, and another one in the top 20.
A very healthy week for Blu-ray if not for the home video industry, as Blu-ray market share reached a new record, but overall income was still down compared to last year (even when taking into account box office of new releases). Box office of new releases was down 28%, but actual revenue declined at a higher 36%, even with the greater library of titles now available on Blu-ray than a year ago.
