The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 11th June 2011 has just been posted. Five new releases made the top 10, which helped Blu-ray revenue and market share grow to the highest level in 6 weeks. True Grit dominated the charts.
While True Grit was a relatively big release, compared to recent titles (and other titles this week), it could not really compare to last year's Alice In Wonderland, which was released around this time, and so combined disc revenue dropped compared to the same week last year. But Blu-ray revenue still grew at a fairly healthy 12%.
