The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 18th June 2011 has just been posted. It was a great week for Blu-ray, the best in two months, thanks to Battle: Los Angeles obtaining extremely high new release market share figure. Two more new releases that sold well (both in the top 5), pushed Blu-ray revenue and market share up.
It's interesting to note that for the market share top 20 chart, half of the titles had a Blu-ray market share of over 50%, meaning the Blu-ray version of these titles outsold the DVD versions. Not to mention Back to the Future Trilogy's amazing 97% market share figure!
