The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 30th July 2011 is in. Another very slow week in terms of new releases, only one really in the entire top 10. That new release was Source Code. There was one more "new to Blu-ray", the classic The Blues Brothers in 5th place.
As a result, Blu-ray and DVD revenue both dropped compared to the same week last year, when Clash of the Titans was released. Blu-ray market share still managed to grow since then, but only by 11% in a week-to-week comparison.
