The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 10th December 2011 is in. Four A-list (or thereabouts) new releases, but Blu-ray market share remained flat compared to last week thanks to The Help not doing as well on Blu-ray as say the likes of The Hangover II and Cowboys & Aliens.
Blu-ray revenue remained flat compared to the same week last year, which was when Inception and Shrek Forever Afterwas released. The combined box office of Inception and Shrek Forever After of $530m is actually lower than the $590m recorded for the four new releases this week.
