The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 17th December 2011 is in. Rise of the Planet of the Apes was the big release of the week, along with the comparable (box office wise) Kung Fu Panda 2.
But despite these two notable releases, and the 4 that came the week before, both DVD and Blu-ray revenue were down compared to the same week last year, which simply had better (again, from a box office point of view) releases.
