The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 13th October 2012 is in. I would have expected the release of Prometheus and E.T. to have lifted the Blu-ray sales share, but that actually didn't happen and a small drop was recorded compared to the previous week.
However, Prometheus still did brilliantly on Blu-ray, with a sales share of nearly 76%. This means 3 out of every 4 copies of Prometheus sold was on Blu-ray (or combo), and if you needed more evidence of the decline of DVDs, then this is it. In fact, even the Blu-ray 3D version of the film might have outsold (or at the very least, sold as many copies as) the DVD only edition!
