The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 24th November 2012 is in. This week includes the infamous Black Friday sales, so this will most likely represent the yearly high in terms of revenue. The only new release was The Expendables 2, but this week is all about sales and discounted titles.
Compared to BF 2011, total revenue was down a tiny 0.27%, mainly due to dropping DVD revenue, as Blu-ray revenue rose an impressive 24.6%. Declining DVD revenue is to be expected given the tremendous growth in the digital download and streaming sector.
