The results and analysis for Blu-ray (and DVD) sales for the week ending 8th June 2013 is in. There were in total 8 new releases in the Blu-ray top 10, making it a busy week in which A Good Day to Die Hard was the stand out release.
Despite the high number of new releases, this particular week actually compared poorly to the same week last year. Last year this time, there were 5 new releases, but importantly, 4 of these had box office takings of $100 million or more. For this week, only one of the new releases managed to do the same. Quality over quantity.
