One of the biggest movies ever released, perhaps the biggest, is coming to Disney's upcoming streaming platform Disney+.
'Avengers: Endgame' will be arriving on Disney+ on December 11, Disney announced, and it will very likely be a streaming exclusive for the platform.
The movie, which has grossed more than $2.3 billion worldwide at the time of publishing, will be a major draw for those still undecided on whether to $6.99 per month fee to access the service.
This is in addition to Marvel's 'Captain Marvel', which Disney has said in the past will be the major title to launch Disney+, when the service goes live in November.
Based on the release schedule for the previous Avengers movie, 'Avengers: Infinity War', the Blu-ray and DVD home release for 'Avengers: Endgame' will occur some time in late August or early September, leaving a three month home video window for the hit movie before it hits Disney+.
In related news, Disney CEO Bog Iger has hinted that Disney will consider purchasing Comcast's stake in streaming service Hulu. Disney now owns 66% of Hulu after its acquisition of 20th Century Fox and the acquisition of WarnerMedia's 10% stake in the streaming platform.
